A beautiful, bold she-cat leapt onto a large stump. She sat down, and curled her calico tail around her white paws. "All who are old enough to catch their own prey, Please gather around High Stump!" She yowled. Her strong voice booming, echoing into dens and the surrounding forest area. She waited patiently as warriors, apprentices, and queens padded out of their dens. She smiled at them all. "We have a special announcement today!" She meowed, loudly. She looked directly at Leafpaw. "A kit is becoming an apprentice." She meowed, she smiled softly at the now kit. "Leafkit. Please come up to High Stump." She meowed, her eyes shining. This was her first time doing a Ceremony, and she hoped that the Ceremony was as accurate as possible.

Leafkit walked towards Fallingstar. Her mother, Berrywhip, had thoroughly groomed her fur pre-ceremony,so the kit-soft fur was groomed well.
Today's the day!She thought, happily. She continued walking, until she reached Fallingstar.
Her aqua blue eyes shined, as she looked at the rest of teh Clan. She was so nervous now.
She looked, and saw Berrywhip in the background,watching her from the nursery entrance.

Fallingstar softly smiled. She stood, and looked up at StarClan. "StarClan, I wish that you look down on this kit. She is ready to learn and understand your noble code. She will work greatly under her mentor's care. I ask of you to make her an apprentice in return." She meowed. Her smile faded and then returned. She looked at the new apprentice. "I will mentor you. I am ready to take on an apprentice." She meowed kindly. She leaned down, so that the younger cat could reach her nose. "Leafpaw! Leafpaw!" She called, standing back so that her Clan could cheer the new apprentice's name. "We will begin training tomorrow. I want you to get some fresh kill, and get a good nights' sleep." She murmured in the cat's left ear. Her warm breath reached the fur, heating it ever so lightly. "This concludes today's meeting!" She meowed to her Clan. Her white paws turned and she gathered her haunches. With a strong leap, she leapt off of the high stump, and padded to get some fresh-kill. She quickly ate it in ravenous gulps. Rather than eat it, she pretty much inhaled it. She padded into her den, and fell asleep.

Leafpaw looked so exited. Her mentor was Fallingstar!
After touching noses with ehr leader, and now mentor, she walked calmly towards the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a mouse to eat. Her first prey as an apprentice.
Later on that day, well just after her meal, she ran to the nursery to see Berrywhip.
Mommy!Mommy!I'm an aprpetnice now! She said to Berrywhip.
Berrywhip had watched the meeting from the corner of the nursery,where she could look after Leafpaw's two young foster siblings, Flowerkit and Fallenkit. They werent her kits, but Berrywhip had found them while out hunting one day when Leafpaw was four moons old, and took them in.
Flowerkit was almost dead when tehy reached camp. But,thanks to teh medicine cat, she lived. The pair were currently 5 moons old, 6 in another moon.
